GB2017 in review

Gravel Battle 2017 happened on June 3rd. An abasolutely fantastic day to grind some gravel in the Pontiac of Region of Quebec. Being only 1 hour from Gatineau/Ottawa region, this area offers endless dirt road and dirt path opportunities. We had a nice turn out of folks from as far as East Ottawa, who came to enjoy (and suffer) on this varied-terrain route. The event started off with all riders coralled at the cafe with the Pontiac Equity paper getting a shot of the starting riders. We then heading 200m up the street to the PPJ Cyclepark trail and at 9:10am we headed off. While on route for 5 hours, no more than 2 vehicles passed the riders and only 5 ATVs. Rather incredible to be so alone for so long, where just some chatting, sweating and good times took place.
